INACTIVITY POLICY
The West Egg Group Corp. has instituted this policy to create guidelines for employees who do not pick up shifts over an extended period of time or no show to their scheduled shifts. Employees are abandoning their job and their shifts will be given to dedicated, reliable team members instead who can meet business needs.
This includes new hires who are involved in training and expected to attend scheduled shifts or who are a no show at their shifts, they are subject to disciplinary action and termination as deemed appropriate.
Certain circumstances in conjunction with their supervisor may be exempt from this policy for a specific period of time. These reasons include approved medical leaves, family emergencies and other circumstances considered appropriate with supervisor discretion. After the stated period as agreed upon, this policy will be reinstated for the employee to provide fairness and equity to all employees.
Employees who regularly do not pick up shifts (scheduled or not) over an extended period or no show twice can be terminated for job abandonment if there is no communication to the supervisor as outlined in the inactivity letter. A response is required by the deadline provided. An employee can resign if they would like, but communication is expected throughout this process.
