If you own a sport utility vehicle (or dream of one!), you’ve probably thought about taking it off road to enjoy the path less travelled.
Here are a few of the top off-road areas to visit in Ontario. And as a bonus, off-roading is an excellent socially distanced activity you can enjoy with those who live in your household.
California Road Trail
Don’t let the name fool you, this 10-kilometre trail is in Lanark, Ontario and is open year-round. Stay on the main trail or explore the old logging roads and hunting camps.
Concession Lake Trail
Over 20 kilometres of trail located just outside of the GTA in Peterborough. It’s a great spot for those with a 4-wheel drive vehicle, but be warned, there are some tight spots and on-trail obstacles you’ll need to navigate.
CP Trail
This 77-kilometer stretch of trail is graded each year to keep it in good condition. There is a fee to enter, but it’s a great place for all kinds of activities — ATV driving, cycling, horseback riding, and more.
At Gatsby Valet, we are driving enthusiasts, and are also serious about vehicle safety. Have fun, and be sure to stay safe both on and off-road.
